Igor Shpilenok and Laura Williams, Contributing Editors to Wild Russia, are a husband and wife photographer-writer team, who work to promote Russia's protected areas.  They live in a remote village in the buffer zone of the Bryansky Les Zapovednik in Western Russia. Igor, who founded Bryansky Les Zapovednik and went on to direct it for 11 years, now focuses his efforts on drawing attention to Russia's protected areas through his photography.  See more of his work at www.shpilenok.com. Laura is Senior Advisor for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in Russia and a freelance nature writer.  Laura's book on her life with Igor in the nature reserve where they live is out in March 2008 by Fulcum Books.
